Positive Masculinity in Action

This past fall, we held a special event for parents and teenage boys, a special panel entitled, Positive Masculinity in Action: Fostering conversations about character, healthy relationships, and respect. Over the course of the evening, the panel discussed such topics as, what is positive masculinity? How do we equip our boys to contribute to society in meaningful and positive ways? What are the tools for fostering healthy relationships?

The panel was made up of an amazing group of men, all of whom are Brookstone teachers, parents, and coaches, who shared their wisdom with the young men in attendance. We are grateful for Henry Heil, Phil Farmer, Jeff Jones, Matt Lage, Nate McConnell, Garry Sullivan, Col. Ryan Wylie for their time and for their willingness to share. A special thank you is in order for Jacob Crowder, our Director of Counseling and organizer of the event, for his vision and leadership.

We are so grateful for a school that wants to invest in this next generation of young men in such a powerful way. I am grateful for all they do and all the ways they support and encourage our students (both girls and boys!) and parents as we navigate growing and molding these wonderful young people into the adults they will become.
