Girls Swim Team – BACK-TO-BACK State Champions!
Congratulations to our Varsity Girls Swim Team who are BACK TO BACK STATE CHAMPIONS! They dominated the meet yesterday and we are so proud of them!
Here is a recap from their coach, Coach Karen Waters, “I don’t have words for how amazed, proud and in awe of I am of this team. Everyone stepped up from our seniors to our 8th grader.”
For the Girls, Brookstone scored 132 points, with second place Rivers Academy scoring 77! Our Boys came in 8th Place and the two teams combined came in 2nd Place.

200 Medley Relay
1st-Penny Mayfield, Lauren Kennedy, Holly Mattson, Mary Sigman
3rd-Lulie Jones, Gracie Arnett, Emma Mathis, Lizzi Cowley
200 Free Relay
1st- Mary Sigman, Penny Mayfield, Holly Mattson, Lauren Kennedy
4th- Lulie Jones, Molly Robinson, Lizzi Cowley, Emma Mathis
Both of our Boys Relay Teams were 12th. The team consisted of Jackson Presley, Charles McPherson, Tommy Marstin and John Cowley.

Lauren Kennedy – 200 Free(2nd); 100 Fly(2nd); 500 Free(2nd)
Tommy Marstin – 100 Breast(2nd); 50 Free(5th); 100 Fly(5th)
Emma Mathis – 200 IM(6th); 100 Back(8th)
Holly Mattson – 200 IM-state champion; 100 Fly-3rd; 100 Back-state champion
Penny Mayfield – 50 Free(4th); 100 Back(5th)
Mary Sigman – 200 Free(6th); 200 IM(4th); 500 Free(4th)
Coach Waters said,”Every swimmer had season best times. It took the entire team to win this championship!”
