“A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions.” -Oliver Wendell Holmes We are in our third year of the Blanchard Leadership Institute here at Brookstone. You may remember that in 2020, Brookstone established the Blanchard Leadership Institute through a partnership with Andy Fleming and Claire Lee from The Developmental Edge and their colleagues, Robert Keegan and Lisa Leahy from Harvard University. A Developmental Sprint® is a focused experience that is based in human development research and designed to rapidly accelerate growth. This […]
The Middle School Musical, The Aristocats, could not have been more entertaining! What an incredibly talented group of Middle School thespians! Job well done, cast and crew! Special thanks to the Brookstone Arts Alliance for all of their work in making this production so special.

As we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, it is only fitting to honor those teachers with an official, “Thank you.” Thank you for what you do day in and day out and for the many ways, often unacknowledged, that you pour yourselves out for the sake of your students. We simply cannot say thank you enough. Here at Brookstone, people matter. Our students matter and they know they matter. They know our teachers are FOR them, fighting for them, working on their behalf, and doing everything they can to provide the […]
Throughout this school year we have enjoyed celebrating Brookstone’s 70 anniversary – 70 years that encompass a remarkable history and vision built on a solid foundation of values. This important milestone has given us a chance to celebrate our founding, reflect on our success, revel in the sense of community we’ve built over seven decades, and imagine our next 70 years. To celebrate the 70th anniversary, we invited several people to reflect on Brookstone’s history in a video story. Two things were evident, the values that Brookstone was founded on […]
We held our spring Sprint® Closing Workshop for the Middle and Upper Schools last week and I wanted to share a little bit about what we discussed. We kicked off the workshop with a video celebrating some of our student accomplishments over this past year. Please know this is not an all inclusive highlight video as there are many more achievements also worthy of celebration, but for our purposes, it allowed us to celebrate what we can accomplish when we set out to do it! You can watch the video below: So […]
For the first time in two years, we were able to send our Middle School students out on the road for their annual class trips! Our 8th-graders headed to the beautiful moutains of Flat Rock, North Carolina to camp and hike. Our 7th-graders got to spend some time in lovely, historic Savannah, Georgia. And our 6th-grade students enjoyed a one day excursion to Desoto Caverns in Childersburg, Alabama. Though it was a rainy week for everyone, memories were made, life lessons learned, and fun was had by all!
We are thrilled to welcome these fantastic new faculty members to the Brookstone Family this year! As you can see from their bios below, this is an amazing group of people with an incredible range and depth of talent! It is our pleasure to welcome them to Brookstone! We know our students love them already! Go Cougars!
