This past week was spectacular on our campus! The sun was shining, the birds were chirping and everything beautiful about spring was in the air! As we prepared for the annual Spring Arts Festival, our fabulous fine arts department brought art and music outside for everyone to enjoy! Glass Blowing on the Quad

We have been celebrating the arts this spring, and yesterday, we were fortunate to have another incredibly talented artist visit our campus. Kelly Robertson, with Calvary Glass in Atlanta, spent most of the day sharing his gift with our students. Our youngest classes enjoyed choosing colors to accentuate a lovely glass flower, while the older students listened and asked questions about the physics and chemistry of glass blowing. The results? Puppetry Comes Alive!

You might have seen the 57 Chevy parked out in front of the Turner Center recently and the interior foyer turned into a classic 1950s soda shoppe! It was all to help stage the scene for the beloved production of the musical Grease. Taking care of the health and well-being of our students is a priority at Brookstone. Recently, the school welcomed Dr. Kaizad Shroff, MD, a local psychiatrist and Brookstone parent, to share information on child and adolescent anxiety with fellow Brookstone parents. The visit was part of the ongoing Parent University program sponsored by our Brookstone Parent Association working in conjunction with our counseling department.
