We live in a military community, Columbus being home to one of the finest military establishments in the world, Fort Benning. And we are so proud of our relationship with Fort Benning, as a community and as a school.

That’s why it is fitting to celebrate April as The Month of the Military Child! All month long our kids are sporting purple t-shirts on Wednesdays to celebrate and support our students who have a parent who has served in our military or is currently serving.

As a military wife myself, it does my heart good. My husband served four tours as an Army Reservist in both Iraq and Afghanistan and the sacrifices my children made for him to be able to do so are real. So we celebrate our military children! God bless them indeed!!

Military kids spent some time drawing pictures of themselves with words describing the characteristics military kids embody.
