Congratulations to our very own Dr. John Harkey, Upper School English teacher, on his recent inclusion in Prelude Magazine.

Dr. Jim East, English Department Chair, made the announcement school-wide via email:

It pleases the English department mightily to announce that Dr. John Harkey has placed “Floating Shelves” in Prelude Magazine, a nationally recognized journal of poetry and criticism based in New York, printed on line with one yearly print issue. The online poetry journal was awarded the 2016 Pushcart Prize, featured by the Poetry Society of America, called the “Best New Magazine” by Dazed Digital, touted “Best of the Year” in Entropy, called “Best Literary Criticism” of the year in Flavorwire.  This after his staff’s receiving the American Scholastic Press Association’s first place prize for this season’s Cougar Roar.
