Taylor Roos, Class of 2017, speaks about her experience here at Brookstone as an Honor Scholar.

Senior Taylor Roos, spoke to the students. Here is a transcript of what she said:

Good evening, Everyone! Congratulations to this year’s Honor Scholars and their families. My name is Taylor Roos and I am a 2013 Honor Scholar and graduating senior. You have already accomplished so much and I am so glad to welcome you to the Brookstone family.

To be honest, I’m a little jealous because I would love to re-live these four years over again with my current set of eyes. You are about to enter a time in which you will learn, grow, and blossom into the people that will go on and change the world for the better.

I can confidently say that Brookstone has helped me grow from the little 13 year old that hesitantly accepted the scholarship four years ago. I haven’t looked back since. Undoubtedly, it was the best decision of my life. Unequivocally, Brookstone was the right choice for me. I have had opportunities that I would never had had elsewhere. I’ve created life-long relationships. I have gained an exceptional education. I have gained so much through my four short years here, but I have not peaked yet. I will attribute my future success to the foundation I received at Brookstone.

Brookstone is forward thinking and positions students to do bigger and better things – they don’t want your greatest accomplishment to be a Brookstone diploma – they push students toward the possibilities of the future.

As I move on the continue my education at Georgia Tech for biochemical engineering this fall, I will be forever grateful of what Brookstone has and will continue to provide me; a solid base for higher education, life skills and above all a family home.

I know that even after a graduate, I will always be a part of the Brookstone family and will always be welcomed back. I will always have the lifelong friendships and networking relationships that Brookstone has nurtured, with fellow peers and faculty.

I know you will continue to achieve great things throughout your time here, but please, above all, stop and savor your time here, as you will be standing in my shoes ever so soon.

Congratulations to our newest Cougs!!

It was a lovely evening and a beautiful reception! Welcome to all of our new Honor Scholars!
