#RallyforRudi
Brookstone’s Servant Leadership department and the Red Cross are partnered together to hold a blood drive in the Brookstone cafeteria on Friday. The event was held to honor Rudi Cumiskey Pierson, Class of 2005, and to show our support of our middle school PE teacher and varsity tennis coach, Mary Lynne Cumiskey.
Rudi has been dealing with multiple health issues following a liver transplant in 2014 and has been the recipient of donor blood on many occasions. This drive is a way for our Brookstone family to show love and support to the Cumiskeys and to help others, too.
It was such an incredible outpouring of love and support as more than 70 donors came to give in Rudi’s honor! We love our Brookstone family!!

The chairs were filled all day! This time with US teachers, Cynthia Lingo and Allie Scheel, and with MS teacher Becky Kenimer!

MS teacher, Joy Sloan, and her son, sophomore Ben Sloan, wait in line to donate together.

Cindy Sparks does her part!

Middle Schoolers, Addison Hastings, Tiffany Sung, former Head of School and grandfather to Rudi, Charlie Cumiskey, MS Principal Chris Moore, and 8th graders Joanna Lunsford and Jordan Brown all come to lend their support to Rudi!

Ceil Bone, Middle School Art Teacher, gives the Rally for Rudi a thumbs up!
Enjoy this video made to encourage everyone to #RallyforRudi!
