Voices of Change
In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy, Brookstone hosted the Voices of Change week in January to celebrate kindness, equality, and positive contributions to society. Virtual “Poetry Slams,” art mural submissions ensued and the week culminated with all students considering what Voices of Change means to them and how they can positively impact their communities.
Congratulations to our four winners for their art mural designs.
- Lower School: Ephraim Harkey, Second Grade
- Intermediate School: Josephine Meeks, Fifth Grade
- Middle School: Micah Pate, Seventh Grade
- Upper School: Jack Flournoy, Tenth Grade
These drawings will serve as the model for murals that all students will add their mark to over the next two weeks as we honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy and celebrate kindness, equality, and positive contributions to society. The completed murals will be displayed around campus by the end of the month and all of the submitted sketches are currently on display in the Turner Center Gallery.
Congratulations to all of these students! They WILL use their voices to make a difference in this world and we can’t wait to watch!
