Middle School Day of service was held last week and these middle school students put in some work! Together, they packed 12,096 meals that will help people in need all over the world. Working with Rise Against Hunger, they measured, packed, sealed and boxed thousands of meals over the course of the day! One student said, “I’m having fun AND helping people!” Grateful for our Servant Leadership Department that makes days like these happen! And thanks to everyone involved for a wonderful experience all the way around!
Congratulations to sophomore Katie Shaw for recently winning the Girl Scout Gold Award! This award is the highest and most prestigious award in Girl Scouting, comparable to the Boy Scouts of America’s Eagle Scout. Since 1916, Girl Scouts have been making meaningful, sustainable change in their communities and around the world. The Gold Award is awarded to fewer than 6% of Girl Scouts annually, and each Gold Award Girl Scout spends 1 – 2 years on her project. Approximately one million Girl Scouts have earned the Gold Award or its […]

Why Brookstone? Why should I choose to send my child to Brookstone? These are questions often asked of us in the admissions department and they are valid questions. Why? What sets up apart? What makes Brookstone so unique? So we got to work to find our answer. Our faculty, administration, and Board of Trustees began working and surveying and researching to determine just what is it that sets Brookstone apart. And over and over again, these are the things that rose to the top. Here at Brookstone, PEOPLE MATTER. We […]
We are forever indebted to the men and women of our Armed Services who fought for the freedoms we have. Thank you, Veterans, for your service and your sacrifice! We love you and we thank you!
Servant Leadership is embedded in our culture in every way. Of course, thanks to COVID-19, our weeks of service might look a little different this year, but the heart behind them remains the same. We want to teach our kids empathy, compassion, and how serving others is a way of life. The students prepared bags for a variety of local agencies here in town – PAWS, Easter Seals, Brookside Glen, Ronald McDonald House, and Open Door. They also made goody bags for the Soldier Recovery Unit at Ft. Benning. COVID-19 […]
It is our privilege to highlight four Upper School students for their work outside of school and in our community. We are growing a generation of leaders here at Brookstone School and they continually make us proud. Ayomide Oloyede Ayomide, a senior and Head Boy Prefect, recently started a project called “Project Lunchtime” where he partners with local restaurants to save food from going in the trash. With the help of a local ministry, the food is put into to-go boxes and delivered to the homeless, elderly, and needy. In […]
