With gratitude for a wonderful school year…Enjoy your summer!!!
Graduation has come and gone, but we are still celebrating our graduates! Brookstone’s Class of 2022 was accepted to 89 different colleges and universities around the country and even the world. They also received over $7.3 million dollars in scholarships!! What an amazing group of young men and women! We are so incredibly proud of them!
As we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, it is only fitting to honor those teachers with an official, “Thank you.” Thank you for what you do day in and day out and for the many ways, often unacknowledged, that you pour yourselves out for the sake of your students. We simply cannot say thank you enough. Here at Brookstone, people matter. Our students matter and they know they matter. They know our teachers are FOR them, fighting for them, working on their behalf, and doing everything they can to provide the […]
The University of Georgia had some Brookstone Cougars on the sidelines taking in all the G-Day action! Freshman Mal Waldrep, Juniors Walter Blanchard and Dylan Thornton were visiting as recruits, and former UGA player Prather Hudson, Brookstone Class of 2016, joined them on the sidelines. We can’t wait to watch these boys in the years to come! So Go Dawgs, but Go Cougars always and forever!
It was a wonderful week celebrating art and music on campus in our annual Spring Arts Festival! Though it has been two years since we have been able to host this event, we more than made up for with all the beautiful displays of talent and community. It was practically perfect in every way! Under spectacularly blue skies, piano music wafted softly over the quad throughout the day as students would stop to play on one of the outdoor pianos their way to class. They would gather around tables to […]
Throughout this school year we have enjoyed celebrating Brookstone’s 70 anniversary – 70 years that encompass a remarkable history and vision built on a solid foundation of values. This important milestone has given us a chance to celebrate our founding, reflect on our success, revel in the sense of community we’ve built over seven decades, and imagine our next 70 years. To celebrate the 70th anniversary, we invited several people to reflect on Brookstone’s history in a video story. Two things were evident, the values that Brookstone was founded on […]
A recent social media post from one of our 5th grade teachers summed up perfectly the bond our students and teachers share here at Brookstone. She wrote: “I was on the playground with my kiddos today when one of my ‘former’ kiddos walked up and gave me a hug! As our school continues to grow, it takes engineers and brains to plan and oversee! You are looking at the TOP DOG!!! I am so proud of you, Tim! This makes it all worthwhile. Precious child; dynamic young man!!! HARD WORK […]
One of the highlights of our year is when we get to honor a few of our alumni as they are inducted into the Distinguished Alumni Society. It is a night of celebration, reflection, and gratitude toward the Brookstone School community and the ties that bind us together. The Distinguished Alumni Society Award honors those Brookstone Graduates who have made significant contributions to society and whose accomplishments, affiliations, and careers have honored the legacy of Brookstone. To be considered for the honor, recipients must be accomplished in both professional achievement […]
