Brookstone Wins Region in Literary Meet

Congratulations to the Brookstone Literary Meet Team for winning the Region 4 A-Private Literary Meet earlier this week!

Region 4 A-Private – 1st Place:

  • Essay – Rhetorical: Stella Yancey
  • Extemporaneous Speaking-Domestic: Evan Smallwood
  • Extemporaneous Speaking – International: Lucy Wylie
  • Oral Performance – Humorous: Olivia Willett
  • Oral Performance – Dramatic: Mia Vongsavang
  • Oral Performance – Duo: Ayo Oloyede & Harry Graham
  • Boys Solo: Ayo Oloyede
  • Girls Solo: Mia Vongsavang
  • Trio 1: Mia Vongsavang, Catherine Jeffries, & Cassidy Rogers
  • Quartet: Evan Smallwood, Micah Bush, Harry Graham, & Dylan Butcher

The students are now qualified to compete at the State Literary Meet on April 24th in Milledgeville. Thank you to everyone who made it happen: Mrs. Hearn for Music; Mr. & Mrs. Davis for Oral Presentations; Mrs. Boswell for identifying the essay writers; and Mrs. Highnote for identifying the extemporaneous speakers. An extra thank you to Mrs. Hearn, Mr. Davis, Mrs. Blackmon, and Mr. Messer for their help hosting the Literary Meet.
