It’s fall and that means football! And two of my favorite traditions here at Brookstone – Breakfast Under the Lights and Cub Football are all about just that – football! But what makes these two events so special, is that it highlights one of the most special things about Brookstone School and that is the ability of our Upper School students to interact with our Lower School students in such a fun and meaningful way! People matter here at Brookstone. And the opportunity for older students to work with and […]

How much homework is too much? It’s a valid question. It’s also a question I’m glad Brookstone School is not afraid to ask. Last year, our Upper School teachers began doing some research into the amount of homework students had to do each night. Obviously, there are lots of factors that go into the amount of time each student spends on homework, such as after school activities, technology, and routine bedtimes, but regardless, an informal survey of our students from last year indicated over 70% of our students said that […]

Those relationships are an integral part of what makes Brookstone the exceptional school it is. For generations, Brookstone teachers have poured into their students in ways that have transformed lives and impacted the world. I am so blessed to have had the teachers I did during my years here as a Brookstone student, and now, to be surrounded by remarkable […]

Congratulations to our very own multi-talented Brookstone parent, Deron Hicks! Deron is not only an incredible photographer, but he is also an author and an attorney. Deron devotes hours and hours of his time to photographing our athletes and captures some of the most wonderful photos you have ever seen! It is truly an act of service to our families and we are so grateful! So in turn, CLICK HERE to VOTE for DERON! He is nominated for Photographer of the Year by FNF Coaches! It’s no big deal that ESPN just named one of our alums as the potential future head coach for the University of Georgia football team! I mean, that type of thing happens all the time! Except that it doesn’t! 🙂 We could not be more proud of Prather Hudson and all he has accomplished during his time at UGA, and for all of us who know and love him, this comes as no surprise! Congratulations, Prather! We can’t wait to see what your future holds! To read the article in […]
