Seniors’ Last Day!

Yesterday was a bittersweet day as it was the last day of school for our seniors- barring AP exams. And to celebrate the occasion, they donned t-shirts sporting their college or university choice for the next year! Not everyone is pictured, but it was fun to snap a few! So in the coming months, these kids might be saying, “Go Dawgs,” “War Eagle,” “Go Cavs” or “Go Bobcats,” but they will always be Cougars to us! The Class of 2018 has indeed made us proud and we know great things […]

Senior/Faculty Cup 2018

Every spring, our seniors and our faculty members go head to head in a variety of competitions that range from basketball to corn hole to flying paper airplanes! It sounds so simple, but these friendly face-offs are just another example of the strong sense of community and camaraderie that we have here at Brookstone! You just don’t get at other schools! Energy in 8th Grade Science

When learning is fun and engaging, students thrive! Our 8th graders have been studying kinetic and potential energy recently, so they’ve been doing some pretty “energetic” activities! Enjoy these photos from Mrs. Robertson’s science class! They’ve been building roller coasters all around the classroom and doing some pretty amazing feats with popsicle sticks! If you were having trouble playing the video, you can click here to watch it!

Cuts for a Cure

This past week, Brookstone once again hosted Cuts for a Cure, the national effort in which women and men donate their hair to make natural wigs for people suffering from cancer. Started in 2012 by Kate Wilson, Class of 2014, this event has become an incredible opportunity for students to give back in one of the most personal of ways. Kate, inspired by her own mother’s battle with breast cancer, was able to attend this year’s program as well. Click here to watch the WRBL news report from the event. This […]
