Upper School Day of Service

On the Friday before Spring Break, we held our annual 13th annual Upper School Day of Service. And what a wonderful day it was! Our 9th and 11th Grade classes worked with organizations across the Columbus area, including Open Door, Feeding the Valley, Truth Springs Academy, The Boys and Girls Club, Columbus Dream Center, Fox Elementary School, Damascus Way, Valley Rescue Mission, and Girls’ Inc. New York Trip to Carnegie Hall

Our students were busy over spring break (more blog posts to follow!) But in all honesty, I am using this platform to brag on our players! They have been working so hard and I […]

Be the One Who Starts Early!

From Leigh Anne Floyd, our Lower and Intermediate School Principal… What a fun time we’ve had in the Lower and Intermediate Schools celebrating National Reading Awareness month. A big thank you goes out to Erin Trotter and Joe Mills for creating the fun calendar of activities, and thank you to the teachers and students for embracing it all as they celebrated their love of reading. I had the magical opportunity this week to read with 3K student, Brantley Hayes. She was one of the winners from the Dr. Seuss raffle. […]

Junior Math Tournament!

Georgia Southwestern State University held their Junior Math Tournament recently. Twenty four students from Brookstone grades 3rd-6th attended and they represented us well! On our 6th grade team, Ankita Nukala placed first, Ava Chang fourth, and Nancy Schley fifth (out of 140). The 5th-grade team held their own in a field of 320, with Weezie Turner finishing in the top 15. Max Lopez took first place for fourth grade. 3rd-grade competition was intense, with the field narrowing from 200 to eight before the last Cougar was eliminated. Congratulations to all […]
