It is our privilege to highlight four Upper School students for their work outside of school and in our community. We are growing a generation of leaders here at Brookstone School and they continually make us proud. Ayomide Oloyede Ayomide, a senior and Head Boy Prefect, recently started a project called “Project Lunchtime” where he partners with local restaurants to save food from going in the trash. With the help of a local ministry, the food is put into to-go boxes and delivered to the homeless, elderly, and needy. In […]
Wearing face masks has become a part of school life, it is important to know how to communicate effectively while wearing one. Alumna and current parent, Dr. Alice Cellino, Au.D., CCC-A, along with Dr. Susie Ford, Ph. D., CCC-S, of Columbus Speech and Hearing Center (CSHC), conducted training during pre-planning to provide our faculty with tools that enhance communication while wearing masks. At Brookstone, we care as much about our parents as we do our students and teachers. As such, CSHC created the video below just for parents that includes […]

You may have heard about some colleges and universities going test-optional or test-blind. What does that mean? Here’s a word from Brookstone’s Director of College Counseling, Bob MacLellan. There have been many changes to the traditional college admissions process because of Covid-19 – from virtual college tours to zoom interviews just to name a few. However, the biggest change that will affect the Class of 2021 and potentially beyond is the use of standardized testing. In the wake of closed testing sites and limited access to testing sites this fall, […]
