It’s Friday!
It’s Friday! We survived another week!
So in honor of the weekend, here’s a look back at some of the great things that happened at Brookstone this week!
We started off the week with perhaps a new tradition – the Father/Son basketball game to celebrate the end of the middle school basketball season! What a special opportunity for both the boys and their dads. And I am willing to bet the dads were a little sore the next day!
Later in the week, our middle school girls spent time with the intermediate school girls, sharing advice on how to navigate the sometimes difficult middle school years. Specifically, they came up with seven pieces of advice on how to show kindness and compassion in their friendships. This advice included wisdom on how to be a good friend on social media and proper text message etiquette. Much needed wisdom for these young girls.
Yesterday, these same middle school girls (and boys) were given a preview of the upper school on personal tours with upper school students. There’s something really special about giving our students the opportunity to interact together in this way.
Today, our upper school students were able to demonstrate their robotics projects to our friends from Fox Elementary School who were on campus to visit our students. We partner with Fox throughout the school year and it is always a treat to host them at Brookstone and spend time with their students.
Tonight, we’ll all gather to cheer on the boys and girls’ basketball teams as Brookstone plays Pacelli in the Illges Gym! If you can’t make the game, you can watch it online thanks to Cougar Live – the best high school sports show around! It’s so good, it’s almost worth staying home to watch! Go Cougars!
For more of the week’s activities, check out our Facebook page, which highlights all the special events and every day moments, including the 100th day at school with “senior citizens” and a balloon popping extravaganza! There’s absolutely never a dull moment at Brookstone School!
Have a wonderful weekend!! And Go Cougars!!!
