It’s not every day an international superstar gives you a shout out as his hero! But that’s exactly what happened recently to our very own Robby Davis! Robby, who teaches Upper and Middle School Fine Arts, also taught country music superstar and ACM Entertainer of the Year, Luke Bryan. Winners of the statewide 2021 Governor’s Honors Program have been announced and Brookstone is proud to recognize two outstanding students. After completing a series of nominations, applications, and interviews, Jack Flournoy ’23 has received an invitation to participate in the 2021 Governor’s Honor Arts Program in Visual Arts. “I have known Jack for almost 3 years and have watched him grow in his skills in art, his incredible adaptability to problem solving, and his ability to maintain a positive attitude. In AP art, he continues to show these strengths as he challenges himself with multiple projects and tight deadlines.” […]

Congratulations are in order for the Upper School One Act cast and crew as they won the GHSA region championship today for their show One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. This is Brookstone’s second year in a row clinching the region title! We are so incredibly proud of these kids! In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy, Brookstone hosted the Voices of Change week in January to celebrate kindness, equality, and positive contributions to society. Virtual “Poetry Slams,” art mural submissions ensued and the week culminated with all students considering what Voices of Change means to them and how they can positively impact their communities. Congratulations to our four winners for their art mural designs.
