It’s been a really exciting week around here when it comes to Brookstone’s fine arts! Join us in congratulating all of the following students!

First up, congratulations to the Brookstone Literary Meet Team for winning the Region Championship with a score of 80 out of 84.

Next, congratulations to Laine Harris for winning 2nd place in the category of drawing for her work “Queen of Soul” in the 2nd annual Troy University’s Black History Month Student Art Exhibition!

The Troy University Phenix City Campus hosted its second annual virtual art show in celebration of Black History Month with participating high school and university students from Brookstone School, Carver High School, Central High School, Columbus State University, Harris County High School, Kendrick High School, Russell County High School, Spencer High School, and Troy University.

The contestants’ artwork was evaluated by a panel of judges and first, second, and third place winners were selected in Drawing, Painting, Photography, and Graphic Design categories.

Lastly, congratulations to the cast of Mamma Mia, the Upper School Spring Musical, for incredible performances last week. You made us all laugh, sing, and dance! What an incredibly talented group of performers!
