Why Brookstone?

Why Brookstone? Why should I choose to send my child to Brookstone? These are questions often asked of us in the admissions department and they are valid questions. Why? What sets up apart? What makes Brookstone so unique? So we got to work to find our answer. Our faculty, administration, and Board of Trustees began working and surveying and researching to determine just what is it that sets Brookstone apart. And over and over again, these are the things that rose to the top. Here at Brookstone, PEOPLE MATTER. We […]

Counselors’ Corner – Fall 2020

One of the greatest things about Brookstone is the multiple layers of support our students have. From teachers, to advisors, to grade chairs, to coaches, to counselors – our students are surrounded by amazing faculty and staff pouring into their lives and cheering them on. They are invested in the well-being of our students – not just as students, but as people. And as a parent, I am so very grateful. College Counseling Goes Virtual

College counseling, just like so many other aspects of school, might look different this fall in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, but that doesn’t mean our counselors are any less committed to seeing our families through the process. In addition to “hosting” college admissions counselors who are meeting with our students via zoom on a weekly basis, the college office is committed to being there for parents, too. So if you are a parent of a member of the Class of 2021, we hope you will take advantage of the […]

After 48 years of dedicated service, the ever youthful 88-year old mother and grandmother finally decided, “It’s time.” Ms. Clepper started her journey here at Brookstone in 1973 at the age of 40. At the time, she had three school-aged children and was looking for work that would align with their schedules so she took a position as a fourth-grade teacher’s aid. She served the school in several capacities […]

Remembering 9/11

Good morning students,  What is still very real to any adult in your life, you know 9/11/2001 only as part of your history, and it’s an important part. Ask any adult where they were that day and they will be able to vividly remember where they were when the news of the terrorist attacks started breaking. For me, I was entering my third year in the U.S.A. as an international student, playing tennis at CSU. I remember walking into my first class of the day with a few students who were […]
