Celebrating 70 Years – A Look Back at Brookstone

Throughout this school year we have enjoyed celebrating Brookstone’s 70 anniversary – 70 years that encompass a remarkable history and vision built on a solid foundation of values.  This important milestone has given us a chance to celebrate our founding, reflect on our success, revel in the sense of community we’ve built over seven decades, and imagine our next 70 years.  To celebrate the 70th anniversary, we invited several people to reflect on Brookstone’s history in a video story. Two things were evident, the values that Brookstone was founded on […]

Just before Spring Break, our Upper School students took part of Brookstone’s 15th annual Day of Service. Spreading out around the Columbus area, our students partnered with 14 different local agencies to help them with everything from painting to landscaping to playing with kids! Before the work began, we gathered our students together to hear from a special guest. Brookstone parent Colonel Jim Hathaway, soon to return Ft. Benning to command the 198th Infantry Brigade, visited with our students and spoke about Servant Leadership and how we can offer hope […]

For the first time in two years, we were able to send our Middle School students out on the road for their annual class trips! Our 8th-graders headed to the beautiful moutains of Flat Rock, North Carolina to camp and hike. Our 7th-graders got to spend some time in lovely, historic Savannah, Georgia. And our 6th-grade students enjoyed a one day excursion to Desoto Caverns in Childersburg, Alabama. Though it was a rainy week for everyone, memories were made, life lessons learned, and fun was had by all!

6th Annual Brookstone Under the Lights

Last week, we held the sixth annual Brookstone Under the Lights! It might be one of the most favorite events we have here at Brookstone. It’s an event especially for moms and their boys, but the best part of the night is the interaction between the youngest cougars and members of our Varsity Football team. It’s such a fun evening for all of those invovled! As one of our teachers said, “This event always displays #WhyBrookstone! I love seeing our students of all ages interacting with each other! It’s a […]

Blanchard Leadership Institute Fall 2021 Update

It’s been a busy fall for the Blanchard Leadership Institute. We concluded the Faculty Sprint in August and the Upper School Sprint in September and we just got underway with the Middle School Sprint last week. We’ve been busy! But we’ve also been productive.
