Upper School Day of Service
On the Friday before Spring Break, we held our annual 13th annual Upper School Day of Service. And what a wonderful day it was!
Our 9th and 11th Grade classes worked with organizations across the Columbus area, including Open Door, Feeding the Valley, Truth Springs Academy, The Boys and Girls Club, Columbus Dream Center, Fox Elementary School, Damascus Way, Valley Rescue Mission, and Girls’ Inc.
Back here on campus, our 10th Grade class held a special carnival for our friends at Easter Seals. Students were paired one on one with our Easter Seals guests as they played traditional carnival games, had their faces painted and enjoyed a beautiful day outside.
Cultivating a lifestyle of service to others and to our community is simply part of who we are here at Brookstone. It’s our mission as a school to produce graduates who continue giving back long after they are gone. That’s why instilling the principles of servant leadership happens throughout the school year in every classroom and in all divisions. As we lead, we serve.
