Blue White Day and Country Fair

Blue and White Day and Country Fair were both held last week! Both of these long-held traditions spotlight what an awesome thing it is to be all one school – from 3K-12th Grade! Opening Ceremonies and a few of the indoor events were held in the gym before moving the games outside. There was a fierce battle between the Blue and the White Teams, with events being hard fought and won, but this year, the Blue team pulled through in the end and clinched the title! Girls Track Breaks School Record!

Twenty-six years ago, a school record was set in the girls 4x400m. Just last week, these strong young women – Wells Roberts, Eva Sullivan, Anna Kate Helton, and Adrianna Hamilton – decimated that record, setting a new one of their own. The best part? Marianna Branch – Scholar Athlete of the Week

Congratulations to sophomore Marianna Branch, who was recently named WLTZ Scholar Athlete of the Week! Marianna is a talented multi-sport athlete who is a leader on any team she’s a part of  – and she’s only a sophomore. Not to mention she’s an academic powerhouse and one of the sweetest girls you will ever meet. (Full disclosure, I am one of her biggest fans!) Unfortunately, Marianna suffered a season ending injury a few weeks ago, but the fact that she was still awarded this honor speaks volumes about her character […]

Chris Edmonds Joins the 1000 Point Club

On December 22, Senior basketball player Chris Edmonds scored his 1000th point as a Brookstone Cougar, becoming only the 7th player in Brookstone’s history to reach this milestone.  At 1057 points (not counting the points in last week’s victory over Schley County), Chris is currently the third all-time leading scorer at Brookstone.  What an amazing accomplishment and an equally amazing young man. We are all so proud of you, Chris! *Photo credits to Deron Hicks and Tiffany Grier.
