Blue White Day and Country Fair

Blue and White Day and Country Fair were both held last week! Both of these long-held traditions spotlight what an awesome thing it is to be all one school – from 3K-12th Grade! Opening Ceremonies and a few of the indoor events were held in the gym before moving the games outside. There was a fierce battle between the Blue and the White Teams, with events being hard fought and won, but this year, the Blue team pulled through in the end and clinched the title! But more than who […]

Spring is in the Air!

This past week was spectacular on our campus! The sun was shining, the birds were chirping and everything beautiful about spring was in the air! As we prepared for the annual Spring Arts Festival, our fabulous fine arts department brought art and music outside for everyone to enjoy! So classes of all kinds ventured outdoors, relishing the warmer weather, and learning from the beautiful environment that makes up our campus. It also was time for our third annual Market on the Quad! Gorgeous flowers and delicious homemade goods were on […]

Be the One Who Starts Early!

From Leigh Anne Floyd, our Lower and Intermediate School Principal… What a fun time we’ve had in the Lower and Intermediate Schools celebrating National Reading Awareness month. A big thank you goes out to Erin Trotter and Joe Mills for creating the fun calendar of activities, and thank you to the teachers and students for embracing it all as they celebrated their love of reading. I had the magical opportunity this week to read with 3K student, Brantley Hayes. She was one of the winners from the Dr. Seuss raffle. […]

Campus Christmas Festivities

It’s Christmas time and even though final exams are in full swing, there is a festive feeling around campus! Here are a few snapshots from campus celebrations! The faculty celebrated with breakfast and a rousing game of “Who’s the Boss?” Our division heads and their respective administrative assistants took on one another in a head to head challenge! Upper School technology teacher and guidance counselor, Jacob Crowder, was our emcee and he took his duties very seriously! We also had a special guest show up in carpool later that morning […]

Our teachers here at Brookstone are hands-down, bar-none, undeniably THE BEST. They love our kids, they encourage our kids, and they tirelessly pour out their lives into our kids. Our teachers are also professionals. And Brookstone’s commitment to professional learning and development is unsurpassed. This year alone, over the past six months, we have had teachers attend the […]

We love “First in Math!”

Our Intermediate School students are just a little competitive! And they also love math! So hats off to them for being ranked 8th in the state of Georgia for the “First in Math” program!! And what is so cool about this video is that this was made and sent to serve as motivation to each other – spurring one another on to do more math! Gotta love that! Keep up the good work kids!

How are you today?

One of the greatest things we’ve implemented here in our Lower and Intermediate School this year has been the door greeters. Designated students are asked to serve as greeters for their respective classes or division each week just to start off each day with a friendly hello. Nothing cuter in the world! Hope you have a great day!

Intermediate School Morning Meeting

The Intermediate School might just be one of the happiest places on campus! This past week, parents were invited to join in on the Morning Meeting to get a glimpse of what their children experience every day. After lots of dancing and singing, announcements were made, accolades were given, the Pledge of Allegiance was recited, and a mini spirit competition was held before sending them off to class. Wish I’d been able to start the school day this way! It was awesome! Enjoy!
