Though Veteran’s Day had officially come and gone, we celebrated our Veterans on Monday, November 13th with a beautiful ceremony on the quad. Our fabulous middle school students put on an incredible production of Suessical the Musical  this past week! It was simply amazing! Before the show even began, our cast hosted a special Character Breakfast for our lower school students, where they posed for pictures and signed autographs! Congratulations to the amazing cast and crew of our One Act Play – “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee!” After racking up awards at the region competition (Region Champs, Ryan Drew, All Star Cast, and Cydney Landreau, Best Actress), they placed 3rd at the state competition and Vivian Swift also won Best Actress! Part of our philosophy at Brookstone is that some of the best educational experiences occur outside of the classroom. As such, we place such a big emphasis on travel opportunities and experiential learning. This week was “Trip Week” for our Middle School students. Our 8th graders went to North Carolina for a week of camping and hiking, the 7th graders traveled to Savannah for a Georgia history tour, and our 6th graders went on a one-day adventure to The Rock Ranch.
