Of all the things that are on the mind of Upper School parents these days, and there is a LOT, the college admission process seems to be at the top of the list! (And if you haven’t turned on the news lately, it’s on a lot of people’s minds.)

That’s why our commitment to parents is that our College Counseling office will be with you every step of the way. And that’s not just lip service. Having three children graduate from Brookstone, I can attest to that personally! Deadlines, applications, resumes, recommendations, essays, and so on and so on. Do you know how nice it is to have someone partner with you in this venture!? Someone who KNOWS your child? It is invaluable!

And that is not just reserved for seniors, either, or for the top 25% percent of the class; it’s for all of our Upper School students. Next week, we have the first of two major meetings for JUNIOR parents.

In November, we will begin our “Coffee with the College Counseling Office,” hosted by our Director of College Counseling, Bob MacLellan, and Mrs. Frances Berry. Our first one will be held on November 7th, from 7:45AM – 8:30AM in the Cheves Athletic Center for any 9th-12th-grade parents. This will be an informational Q&A session that will include a general overview of the services our college counseling office provides. We will be hosting informational coffees for our Middle School families, as well! And we haven’t even talked about the College Tour!!!
