If you had been on campus a few weeks ago in April, you would see have seen our students and faculty decked out in purple! Now Brookstone colors are blue and white, but we donned our purple to celebrate our military kids! Purple Up! April is Month of the Military Child and we want to make sure ours know they are loved and supported! As children of our service men and women, they make sacrifices many of us will never fully understand. And why purple? Purple is the color that […]
Blue and White Day and Country Fair were both held last week! Both of these long-held traditions spotlight what an awesome thing it is to be all one school – from 3K-12th Grade! Opening Ceremonies and a few of the indoor events were held in the gym before moving the games outside. There was a fierce battle between the Blue and the White Teams, with events being hard fought and won, but this year, the Blue team pulled through in the end and clinched the title! But more than who […]
This past week was spectacular on our campus! The sun was shining, the birds were chirping and everything beautiful about spring was in the air! As we prepared for the annual Spring Arts Festival, our fabulous fine arts department brought art and music outside for everyone to enjoy! So classes of all kinds ventured outdoors, relishing the warmer weather, and learning from the beautiful environment that makes up our campus. It also was time for our third annual Market on the Quad! Gorgeous flowers and delicious homemade goods were on […]
We are proud to announce Brookstone’s first-ever Director of Fine Arts: Mr. Paul Hampton. Middle school is one of life’s hardest seasons – even under the best of circumstances. That’s why when walking through the halls this morning, I was struck by the beauty of this simple bulletin board. Who doesn’t need some love, hope, peace, kindness, self-control, or humility? Thank you, Middle School faculty, for fostering an environment such as this. Here’s to more of all of these things flooding the hallways and classrooms of our school!
When learning is fun and engaging, students thrive! Our 8th graders have been studying kinetic and potential energy recently, so they’ve been doing some pretty “energetic” activities! Enjoy these photos from Mrs. Robertson’s science class! They’ve been building roller coasters all around the classroom and doing some pretty amazing feats with popsicle sticks! If you were having trouble playing the video, you can click here to watch it!
