Blue White Day and Country Fair

Blue and White Day and Country Fair were both held last week! Both of these long-held traditions spotlight what an awesome thing it is to be all one school – from 3K-12th Grade! Opening Ceremonies and a few of the indoor events were held in the gym before moving the games outside. There was a fierce battle between the Blue and the White Teams, with events being hard fought and won, but this year, the Blue team pulled through in the end and clinched the title! But more than who […]

Girls Track Breaks School Record!

Twenty-six years ago, a school record was set in the girls 4x400m. Just last week, these strong young women – Wells Roberts, Eva Sullivan, Anna Kate Helton, and Adrianna Hamilton – decimated that record, setting a new one of their own. The best part? With two freshman and two juniors, they’ll be back next year. To set even more records. Kudos to Coach Crowder and his staff for encouraging and pushing these student-athletes to do their best.

Spring Break Trip to Oxford, England!

Our students were BUSY over Spring Break! The Spencer House on Woodstock Road in Oxford, England is owned by Columbus State University.  The purchase of the house was made possible through the generosity of Mr. & Mrs. J. Kyle Spencer, loyal supporters of both CSU and Brookstone School.  In 2010, through guidance from Interim Headmaster […]

But one trip, in particular, gave some of our Upper School students the chance of a lifetime – the opportunity to perform in Carnegie Hall! Karen Hearn, Brookstone Music Director, began rehearsing with 16 students in January for the Children of Peace concert held in Carnegie Hall. Hours and hours of rehearsals were held after school to prepare for this performance. The Brookstone students joined with five other schools from New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Florida, and […]
